On October 18 at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors defeated Suwon FC 2:0 in Round 33, climbing to 71 points and widening their lead over Gimcheon Sangmu (55 points). With this result, Jeonbuk claimed their 10th K League championship.

Using a 4-3-3 setup, Jeonbuk started Song Minkyu, Gustavo, and Lee Seungwoo up front. Only a minute after kickoff, Kim Taehwan crossed from the right, and Gustavo headed the ball into the net for an early lead. Jeonbuk controlled the pace with fast attacks and strong pressure from the start.

Gustavo appeared to score again in the 27th minute, but VAR ruled out the goal for handball. He was later replaced by Tiago due to injury. In the 61st minute, Tiago converted a penalty kick to make it 2:0. Suwon’s Ahn Hyunbeom hit the post and missed several opportunities, leaving Suwon goalless.

In the second half, Jeonbuk substituted Song Minkyu and Lee Seungwoo with Kwon Changhoon and Han Gyeyong to maintain stability. Keeping focus on both ends of the pitch, Jeonbuk held firm and finished the match without conceding, sealing a confident victory.

After sinking to 10th place last season, Jeonbuk’s quick rise back to the top within a year demonstrates their resilience and winning mentality, turning past challenges into a powerful comeback story.
