Manchester United vs. Everton match, round 13 of the Premier League, was held at Goodison Park on January 27, 2023 at 1:30 PM Korean time. From Manchester United's perspective, it was a must-win game as it was a game before the Champions League group stage after the international break. On the other hand, Everton became desperate for victory as they received a severe penalty of 10 points deducted under the FFP rule.
As soon as the game started, two minutes later, Garnacho scored a fantastic bicycle kick on Dalot's cross, giving Manchester United the first goal. This goal was a re-emergence of the bicycle kick Rooney showed before against Manchester City. We knew Manchester United would have the momentum thanks to the fantastic wonder goal, but they continued to be pushed back, with Everton attacking throughout the first half. However, the first half ends without a goal being scored.
In the 56th minute of the second half, Marshall was penalized after being tackled by Ashley Young and falling into the penalty box. Rashford succeeds in this, increasing the score to 2-0. Around the 75th minute, Manchester United ended up winning 3-0 in a counterattack situation as Martial easily completed Bruno Fernandes' exquisite pass, making the score 3-0.
