South Korean actor Lee Soo-hyuk (37), known for his roles in dramas and films as well as his close friendship with K-pop superstar G-Dragon, reportedly endured grueling conditions during his recent solo fan meeting in Hangzhou, China.

The event, titled Eternal Magic Hour, took place on August 30. Tickets sold out within two minutes, according to Lee’s agency, Saram Entertainment, reflecting his widespread popularity in Asia.

However, Taiwan’s media outlet EBC reported on September 1 that Lee was required to sign autographs for 12 consecutive hours, under conditions that left him dehydrated and exhausted. The report stated that organizers oversold tickets, forcing Lee to interact with thousands of fans without adequate breaks.

Adding to the strain, the venue’s air conditioning failed, further intensifying the actor’s discomfort. Originally scheduled for six and a half hours, the fan meeting lasted 12 hours, and organizers allegedly requested additional signatures on 500 posters. According to reports, Lee was told he could not leave China until all signings were completed.

Fans at the event noted that Lee appeared visibly fatigued by the end. Social media images show his shirt soaked with sweat, prompting messages of concern and support. One fan wrote:

“Despite exhaustion and potentially dangerous conditions, Lee Soo-hyuk ensured fans left with happy memories. We hope he also takes care of his health.”

In response, Saram Entertainment released a statement on September 3, expressing regret over the “unexpected situation” without providing detailed explanations. The agency emphasized that every moment shared between artists and fans is meaningful and vowed to improve future events.

Despite the statement, fans criticized the agency for failing to hold organizers accountable and stressed that the actor’s safety should be the top priority.

Lee Soo-hyuk, formerly under YG Entertainment, signed with Saram Entertainment in July 2025, making this fan meeting his first solo event under the new agency. Known for both his acting career and his ties to K-pop celebrities, Lee has garnered a strong following across Asia.
