Korea U-17 national team beat Tajikistan national team by penalty shoot-out 5-3.
On 4/15, there was the quarter final match between Korea and Tajikistan. The game was 0-0 until 66 when head coach Baak input Kim Ji Sung. Korea was suffering from the low finishing skill. However the situation was reversed on 67, Jeong Hyun Woong scored by the Kim Ji Sung cross. Kim Ji Sung's left foot cross sent accurately to Jeong Hyun Woong’s knee. After the goal, Lim Ye Chan scored a wonderful mid range shot. However, it was canceled because there was a foul before the shoot was taken.
Suddenly Korea soccer team let Tajikistan score 2 goals in 83 and 85 minutes. Tajikistan’s detailed attack worked well for Korea. Luckily, Korea scored by a penalty kick in injury time because of a Tajikistan player’s handball. After the penalty, Korea and Tajikistan had a penalty shoot-out because of the rule. In the penalty shoot-out, Korea’s keeper Park Do Hun saved a one penalty kick that led Korea to win the game against Tajikistan.
By winning the quarter final game, Korea is looking forward to winning the trophy which was their last trophy in 2002. Also Korea is the country going to the semi - finals three in a row. A lot of Korean people wanted to see winning Asian cup.
