Jung Woo-young (Union Berlin) has been ruled out due to injury, facing the worst-case scenario with a season-ending injury.
On March 30, Jung Woo-young suffered an injury in a Bundesliga match against Freiburg at Europa-Park Stadion. He started the game but collapsed just eight minutes into the first half. After medical staff assessed his condition, a substitution was signaled, and he left the field, replaced by Tim Skarke.
He is now expected to undergo surgery, with a recovery period estimated at around four to six weeks. Union Berlin has seven games remaining this season, with the final league match against Augsburg on May 17. Given this timeline, his season is likely over.
Jung Woo-young's future is now uncertain. He moved to Union Berlin on loan from Stuttgart this season to gain more playing time. The deal included a buy option, giving him a chance to secure a permanent transfer. However, his injury has introduced an unexpected complication.
Many Korea fans are worrying about Jung Woo-young's injury.
