Dongguk University Stuns Yonsei University in 2025 KUSF College Basketball U-League

Just 15 days after the start of the 2025 KUSF College Basketball U-League’s second half, Dongguk University pulled off a stunning 65-57 victory over Yonsei University.
Yonsei University has long been considered a powerhouse in Korean college basketball, consistently dominating not only the U-League but also other major tournaments. Many basketball fans predicted a Yonsei win before tip-off.
However, Dongguk University turned the tables. At first, they were led 2-8 but, they managed to finish the quarter ahead 16-14. In the second quarter, Dongguk attacked both inside and outside, steadily building their lead and ending the first half 34-24. In the third quarter, their aggressive drives and tough defense widened the gap to 54-45. Although Yonsei dominated the boards in the fourth quarter and nearly staged a comeback, Dongguk held on for the thrilling 65-57 win.
With this victory, Dongguk University now sits in sole possession of sixth place. Yonsei University remains in second place but could drop to third if they lose their upcoming match against Chung-Ang University. Yonsei’s three game losing streak has shocked many college basketball fans.
