Bae Seung-gyun, an 18-year-old Korean midfielder from Boin High School, has signed a professional contract with Dutch club Feyenoord. He will officially join the team on July 1, 2025, and stay until mid-2028.
Bae impressed the club during his internship last year and passed the trial in October. Feyenoord praised him as a talented and versatile player who can play many roles in midfield. He is also a member of Korea's U-17 national team.
Bae will now play alongside fellow Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom, who has become a key player for Feyenoord. Hwang’s strong performance helped build trust in Korean players, which influenced the club to scout Bae.
Feyenoord also formed a partnership with Boin High School, praising its ability to develop great young talent. Bae said he still feels like he’s dreaming and promised to work hard for the team.
Dutch media also showed interest, calling Bae a player with great skills, ball control, and game understanding. While he still needs to grow, Feyenoord believes he has high potential—especially with a senior like Hwang to guide him.
