North Korea’s Response to the US-South Korea military joint drills

The South Korea News Agency recently reported that North Korea condemned the latest joint military exercise conducted by the US and South Korea, “Freedom Flag”.
The brand-new fighter jets, such as South Korean F-35A and F-16 fighter jets and US B-1B and F-16 bombers, joined this exercise to prevent potential threats in the future. According to South Korea’s Defense Ministry, this military exercise between the US and South Korea was aimed at demonstrating the allies' abilities.
South Korea and the US also planned to increase the utilization of drones, including the US MQ-9, in upcoming military training. Including this military activity, further activities between the US and South Korea are expected to lead to a positive international and diplomatic relationship.
Meanwhile, North Korea is protesting the recent training of the US and South Korea’s joint military training. According to the announcement of North Korea’s Ministry of Defense called the military exercise was called a “reckless and unnecessary abuse of strength” and “an enormous provocation,” and raises the regional tensions to an “extreme level.”
In response to North Korea’s threat, South Korea’s Ministry of Defense considered this a criticism of the legitimate military activities of South Korea and the US.
