Lee Dong-wook’s Agency Announces Legal Action Against Privacy Invasion

Actor Lee Dong-wook’s agency, King Kong by Starship, has announced plans to take strong legal action against repeated violations of the actor’s privacy.


On October 14, the agency released an official statement addressing recent incidents in which individuals have attempted to contact the actor, visited his private residence and personal spaces without permission, and left inappropriate letters. The agency emphasized that such actions constitute serious invasions of privacy.


King Kong by Starship stated, “We will take strict legal measures against all forms of privacy invasion, including visits to the artist’s residence, intrusion into personal spaces, tracking unofficial schedules, and leaking personal information.” The agency also warned, “Obtaining flight information through improper means or boarding the same flight to approach the artist during overseas schedules or personal travel will likewise be subject to legal action.”


The agency further stressed, “These acts are clearly illegal. We ask fans to refrain from such behavior and cooperate to ensure the artist’s safety and protect his rights.”

“Hello, this is King Kong by Starship.

First of all, we sincerely thank all the fans who show love and support for our artist Lee Dong-wook.

Recently, there have been repeated incidents of visiting the artist’s unofficial schedules, residence, and personal spaces without permission, attempting to make contact, and leaving inappropriate letters. To protect the artist’s privacy and prevent further harm, we are providing the following notice.


We will take strict legal measures against all forms of privacy invasion, including visiting the artist’s residence, intruding into personal spaces, tracking unofficial schedules, and leaking personal information.

Furthermore, obtaining flight information through improper means or boarding the same flight to approach the artist during overseas schedules or personal travel will also be considered a violation of privacy and subject to legal action.


We once again emphasize that such behavior is clearly illegal. We kindly ask for fans’ cooperation to protect the artist’s safety and rights.


We sincerely appreciate the love and support fans continue to show for Lee Dong-wook, and we will continue to do our utmost to protect our artist. Thank you.”


King Kong by Starship concluded that it will maintain close monitoring and pursue legal measures against any further violations of the actor’s privacy.
