A Korean woman, Kang ji-seung, who is 27 years old, has come up to the conversation for becoming the youngest faculty member ever at Korea University, one of the prestigious universities.


Kang Ji-seung, has been officially appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Environment. She is currently receiving attention for meeting the strict requirements for becoming a professor at the age of 27. Typically, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is essential, while master's and bachelor’s degrees can serve as valuable assists. Dr. Kang earned her bachelor’s degree in the Department of Chemistry at GIST in 2019, and then successfully obtained her doctoral and master’s degrees from the Department Of Biomedical in 2023. She dedicated herself to working as a postdoctoral researcher of medical big data and neuroscience, simultaneously writing documentation, at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
