BIGHIT MUSIC has launched its first new boy group in six years with the debut of CORTIS, a five member act consisting of MARTIN, JAMES, JUHOON, SEONGHYEON, and KEONHO. The group officially debuted on August 18.
The name CORTIS is derived from the phrase “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES”, symbolizing the idea of thinking freely beyond the rules and standards set by society. BIGHIT MUSIC introduced CORTIS as a “young creator crew” a title that reflects the members’ active involvement in music, choreography, and video production. The group also showcased their collaborative spirit by contributing to the creation of their debut album.
CORTIS’ first album, “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES”, features five tracks: the title track “What You Want” and the B-sides “GO!”, “FaSHioN”, “JoyRide”, and “Lullaby.” The music video for “What You Want” surpassed 5.3 million views within just 21 hours of release, while the video for “GO!” recorded over 5.8 million views in only nine days.
Although CORTIS has yet to begin promotional activities on music shows, fans are already expressing high anticipation for the group’s future endeavors.
