There was a Kbo game between Hanwha Eagles and Samsung Lions at 5/7. Hanwha eagles was winning 8 time streak before this game started.
Hanwa eagles had a good starting pitcher line up and also many running strategy which make them to be at the higher place.
In this game until third inning, Samsung Lions was winning however Hanwha Eagles by 2-0, however Hanwha Eagles succeed to reverse game 10-6 by great batting line.
By winning this game, Hanwha Eagles succeed to win 9 games streak. It was 20 years ago that Hanwha Eagles had won 9 games streak.
Also this win made Hanwha to be the first place as solitary over Lg twins.
Cody Ponce is the great pitcher in the Kbo league. He had strong pitching power and stable game management.
This month Cody Ponce won 5 times with era 1.96. Not only the low era, also he had a long inning(53 inning) which is located on the 1st place.
This performance made Cody Ponce to be a Monthly MVP which is the first foreign pitcher to win this award in Hanwha Eagles.
Following day 5/9, Hanwha Eagles is targeting to win 10 times streak which is first attempt in the 21st century.
The most interesting thing is they need 30 days to step up 10th place to 1st place. A lot of Kbo fans are paying attention to rising of Hanwha Eagles.
