T1 has decided to part ways with their star AD carry Gumayusi (Lee Min-hyeong, 23), who helped secure three consecutive League of Legends World Championship titles. As the Finals MVP and a central figure of the dynasty prepares to leave, his next destination is widely expected to be Hanwha Life Esports. T1 is reportedly considering Peyz (Kim Su-hwan), who played in China’s LPL this year, as his replacement.

According to multiple industry sources, T1 has internally concluded that they will not renew Gumayusi’s contract.

Although a T1 spokesperson declined to confirm any contract details, several esports insiders have stated that “T1 is already approaching potential new AD carries under the assumption that Gumayusi will transfer.”

Gumayusi has long been regarded as a symbolic pillar of the T1 dynasty. Together with support player Keria (Ryu Min-seok), the duo anchored the bottom lane and led the team to an unprecedented three-peat at Worlds. He further proved his world-class status by claiming the Finals MVP award at the 2025 World Championship in Chengdu.

However, unlike T1’s other core members, he signed only a one-year contract last season, making him one of the most influential free agents in this year’s offseason. Considering his Finals MVP boost, rising market value, and various surrounding circumstances, it appears both T1 and Gumayusi opted for a “graceful farewell.”

As for his next team, Hanwha Life Esports is viewed as the strongest contender. The organization is said to be actively seeking an elite jungler and AD carry during this offseason.
